I am thinking about buying a 1996 Buick Century, and was wondering if it is a good car to buy. Do they have any common problems I should know about? The one I am looking at has a 3.1 liter engine with 68,000 miles. How long are they usually good for? Also, what do you think is a fair price for this car in good (not excellent) condition?

Where is the ignition coil located in a 1990 buick century? They tell me mine is bad, I read how to change it, but can’t find it inside the engine. If you don’t know this but DO know where I can find free engine manuals I would be just as greatful. thanks.

I got a 76 buick electra, and its gonna be racin in a trailer race, but i wanna dominate, and i was wondering if you guys had any suggestions on how to make it faster and handle better

Itll be running on a 3/8th mile with alot of banking, so if you have any suggestions that would be appreciated

Ok i got a big problem i customized my 1992 buick century with a tree at 60mph. Now my brothers are machanics. I am wondering what vehicle model parts are compatable with my car. Its a GM car so i think some other gm parts will work.

front half shaft.

What will be total cost for head gasket replacement in 2002 buick centry custom car with 120000 miles on odometer?
Some one is selling this car and mentioned head gasket may need to replacement.
What are the signs in car when some one can say head gasket needs to be replaced?

Im driving around a 95 v-6 buick century until I get out of school, and was wondering what I can do to make it faster and better millage. I’ve changed the filters, new PVC valve and stuff like that. Just wondered if anything to the engine or like a cold air intake would work on this.

I’m planning on changing the oil on my 1992 Buick Park Avenue.
I’m going to buy a new oil filter, and I want to know where will the old filter be located in the car? Also what type of oil do I need to put in the car?

We just bought a 57′ Buick special. It is going to need paint. We were thinking about trying to stay with an original color scheme but I am having a hard time finding what colors the car came in.

There doesn’t seem to be any leaking from underneath it. But the smell is strong so i am not putting it in my attached garage. It has been almost a week since it was filled.
Is it okay to drive for a couple of days until I can get it looked at? And is this going to cost a lot? Unfortunately I will be taking it to a dealer as I don’t have a mechanic.

The answer to this question is very important for me as I am thinking of buying a 1999 Buick LeSabre. I know a Honda and a Toyota can go upto 250K miles and a Lincoln can go even more, but how much can a Buick LeSabre go upto? What are the common problems found in a Buick LeSabre and is it very expensive to repair those? When should the timing/engine belt of a Buick LeSabre be changed and how often should the oil be changed? Any words of advice will be greatly appreciated.

I am considering trading for a 1996 buick skylark with a 3.1 V6 and 170,000 miles. Does anybody know how long these engines last?

bad ABS sensor on front passenger side 2005 AWD Buick Rendezvous. must change wheel bearing and need torque specs.

We’re thinking of buying one. We looked at the Chevy Trailblazer and the Ford Explorer, but both of those seem to have transmission trouble. Have you ever had any problems with your Buick?

I want to know how remove the backseat bench and the backrest on a 1998 Buick Regal, so i can get to the seat belts. Can some one please help me?

I just bought a 1999 Buick Regal GS, which is supercharged. It requires premium unleaded gas. I was curious if I could buy 87 or 89 octane and add a bottle of octane boost. This might be cheaper considering the price of gas these days. Any thoughts?

I have purchased a 2003 Buick Rendezvous CXL. It’s this ugly blue color on the outside, kind of like baby blue with dark gray base/running boards. I wanted to know around how much it would cost to have the entire thing painted, but also how would it affect its resale value? Is an aftermarket paint job worth it and how is the quality compared to a factory paint job. Thanks.

How can I Connect a 96 Buick Century stereo to my 80gb Zune. I want to wire it, but if their is another way, i love to hear. I don’t want to mess with radio transmitters. I’m willing to disconnect the radio though. Please help. And thank you

I had to replace the battery in my keyless entry and I need to reprogram it to the car, but the manual only says how to program the functions of the buttons. Nothing about reprogramming the actual remote. There is no Buick dealership in my area, how can I find out the code?

I have a 1993 Buick that only has 34000 miles on it. How soon should I have to change them?

I was told by the car repair shop that I need to replace the torque strut mount on my 94 Buick Regal 3.8. I tried to do it myself but can not fit the new one in because the rubber on the old one was pushed forward and the engine is sitting about 1/4 to 1/2 inch too far forward. The guy at the auto parts store told me to put the transaxle in neutral and pry the engine back to fit the new strut mount on. If I follow his advice, do I run the risk of messing up anything else that is now relying on the engine being in its current position? Also any advice on tilting the engine back would help.

I have a 1968 Buick Skylark Custom convertible with a 350 ci (5.7L) engine. I have seen the identical car but instead of it having a “custom” label, it is labeled with “base” engine instead. So what is the difference? It is important because I am trying to order a performance intake manifold and they have different bolt arrangements.

What is the firing order of the spark plugs on a 1998 Buick Century 3.8 L engine? Just has a tune=up and the engine is running rough, and stalling. Plus the mileage is worse than before.

I have a 2003 Buick Century with v-6 engine. Are there any stats available on engine gaskets that have had to be replaced due to Dex Cool antifreeze? I just changed mine and put the regular green antifreeze in it. Is this ok??
Does anyone have any info on gaskets replacements on the century and how many miles were on them if so?

it’s a 96′ buick park avenue non-supercharged 3.8L. last year i bought a used engine with about 36,000 miles on it and put it in. it started fine and ran good for about an hour or so, then when going to work the next day it stalled. i drove it for three months and it would stall intermittinly but then sometimes it wouldn’t stall. then in jan/feb this year it started surging and would not stall and then it didn’t start at all.
i replaced a crankshaft sensor, fuel pump unit, repaired a loose connector for the ignition module, it has fuel pressure, has spark and compression, i cleaned the injectors, regaped the spark plugs. when i start the car it cranks but will not turn over. any help or thoughts or ideas that could help me out please tell me.

I have a 2001 buick regal LS. I recently had to change the steering column out and now the care will not start. I am thinking its because the security light is on. Does anyone know how to reset the code to make the security light go off so the car will start? Or if maybe it could be something else?

I’m 17 and I always wanted a buick grand national. It has always been my dream car since I was young. I’m trying to find a cheap or reasonable buick grand national I can put together, but everyone I seen cost a lot. I was wondering if anybody have any suggestions on where I could find it for my first car.

I own a 1973 Buick Apollo, and I’ve only seen one other one in person.

I just want to know if there is anyone out there who knows what I’m talking about.

I pulled the keys out of my friends 2002 buick regal, and now the ignition won’t turn. The ignition was in the “ON” (not start postion and car not running) postion when the keys were removed.

I have a 1997 buick century. I would like to have a copy made of the ignition key. However it’s a chip coded key. Where would I go to get a replacement or have a new key made.

I know the resale value for Nissan has always been high but what about for Buick. Is is really worth paying the extra money if when you drive it off the lot you lose $10,000.00. I recently test drove the Nissan Rogue and that vehicle rode so stiff I just went 2 blocks and immediately drove it back to the lot and left.

We have a 1996 Buick Century and were told the Back Manifold gasket is bad. It runs but only moves about 30 miles an hour. And how can we pull it home with a Tow Bar. No holes in Bumper to hook it to.

I’ve tried some different auto sites, but I can’t find any soft tops besides those for convertibles. I have a 96 Buick Regal Custom, but the top has some mold damage, and I’ve been looking to have it reconditioned.
