The light went out in the instrument panel of my 2006 Dodge Durango. Short of taking it to the dealer, does anyone know how to fix this. All of the warning lights work, just the gas, odometer, and RPMs are dark. Only answer if you really know please. Thank you

i thought it was the blower resistor but it was actually the blower fan itself. so when i plugged in the new resistor, the fan still didnt blow any air. so when i returned it they asked me if i plugged it in at all and i so yes. so they said they couldnt refund me because that is consindered testing the product. should i try to return it at a different orielly store but tell them i didnt use it at all?

I have a 2003 Chrysler Town & Country Mini-van and am trying to locate the blower motor resistor. I have been told that it is located under the hood of the van and others have said that it is located behind the glove compartment. Can anyone please help me? I need SPECIFIC directions as how to locate it as there are many things behind the glove compartment and I have very little auto repair knowledge. Thank you in advance!

The blower will only come on when the fan is turned on high and then it will work for a while then stop and maybe start again later. This is true whether the heat or air conditioning is being used.

a 2002 bmw 525i the blower motor stopped working and i can’t find the blower motor resistor or what the problem could be.

It is on a 2002 Ford F150. I am not sure what is wrong with my blower but it will only work on high and nothing else. I think that is it cause i tried a different fan and a switch. but not sure.

Location of Blower Motor Resistor

Where is the location of the blower motor resisters in a 1994 Chrysler Concord?

about 6 months ago the blower motor resistor went out and i replaced it. then yesterday i replaced the blower motor and i didnt notice that much of a difference. is there anything else that i coud try?

Thanks for the help
the motor was good and so is the controller, i tested the output voltage from the blower motor resistor before i finished installing the blower motor.

I replaced the blower motor, resistor. Is there any other components I should consider. The clutch seems to be ingaging and disingaging at random times. I just want the ac/heater to blow. Any suggestions???

Old blower motor was shorting out the fuse, so new motor was installed and that didn’t seem to work. No function when motor is turned on any speed and new fuse is in too. What gives?

It is a Daewoo Lanos 2000, the blower motor jus stop working.

broke a tooth in it when replacing blower motor.now air works but not as cold as before when but blows very hard now.blower motor was shot.is it possible the blower motor resistor that i broke controls the cold air from ac?this is a 1986 toyota celica car.

I have to change the “Blower Motor Resistor” on my 99 Pathfinder, but have no idea where to find it.
If I find it, is it easy to do?

My air conditioner used to work on all settings. One by one they gradually went out. It started a few years back, levels 1 and 2 stopped working. A couple of months ago, level 3 didn’t work. Now level 4 doesn’t work either. There is absolutely no air coming out. I was wondering whether that sounds like the blower motor or just a bad blower motor resistor?

Honda Civic 2003 blower motor will run for a few seconds then will shut off until the key is cycled on/off. During those few seconds the fan will only run at one speed (there are about 8 positions). Anyone have any ideas?

Can you tell me how to locate it. It was not behind the glove box near the blower motor

is it the blower motor resistor ? an if it is where is it located at ?

The old resistor burnt out and fried the wiring! Replaced the resistor but the connector is melted and the wiring is burnt. Blower motor is still good.

I have a 2003 saturn ion 2.2 Liter Engine. We replaced blower motor and the blower motor resistor but the ac/heater fan still only works on the highest speed which is 4. What else could cause this problem?

The button that controls the speed of the fan in my jeep wrangler no longer works in the first three positions. Therefore, I’m forced to use the highest setting when I am running the air or heat. I believe its the blower motor switch based on the parts list but I’m no sure how to replace it without having to take it in and pay a fortune. Is there any advice on how to fix this problem?

I have a 2002 Chevy Impala, 3400 V6, 3.4L. Can you tell me where the A/C Blower motor resistor is located and is it hard to replace?

I have a 1972 Ford bronco and I need this one little part that controls the heat output. I hav heard it called by a blower motor resistor, a heater resistor, or a heater rheostat. I have looked for it everywhere and I cant find it. A link would be very helpful.

On a scale of 1 to 5 – 1 being least difficult and 5 being most difficult – how much of a time would the average individual have to replace a blower motor resistor?

I replaced the blower motor resistor this summer. Now the front ventilation system works fine. AC/Vents/Heat all work. The rear ventilation blows no air at all, regardless of setting. Do I check fuses and connections first, and then replace the rear blower motor assembly, or could there be another possibility?

I have a 1973 Ford Country Squire. The blower motor resistor needs replacing. The blower motor resistor is right next to the blower motor. It is located on the passenger side right by the wheel well and the hinge of the hood. It looks like it is held in with rivets? How do I remove it? Do I drill the rivets out and re-rivet the replacement in or do I need to remove the plastic housing around the AC unit and remove it from the backside? Thanks.

My blower fan only works on level 3. I think it’s the blower motor resistor. But, I am unable to find it. The day the blower fan stopped working, I could smell burnt plastic.

The 2 HIGHEST settings on my Dodge Durango air knob don’t work. I’ve seen a lot of issues with the low settings not working, but my situation is the opposite. I am wondering if the blower motor resistor controls these settings. If not, does anyone know how to fix this issue?

i have a 1994 bmw 325i 4 door, and my heat and ac just stopped workin, the speed 1-3 didnt work and it worked on 4, and now nothin works i think i need a motor resistor wsitch i need help finding it i know its in tha glove box somewhre

I have a 2001 Chrysler Town & Country.air not cold so changed compressor & dryer. Air was cold for a few minutes then warm again. I know blower motor resistor is out because it only works on high. Could the broken blower motor resistor be causing air not to be cold.

I have a 2000 Escalade
I asked a question before about the heater only working on high, and it was suggested by a few people that the blower motor resistor is probably bad.
My next question – Where is that resistor located?
Around me, only the dealer has that part (for 22 fricken dollars – sounds like a bit much for a resistor), and they aren’t willing to help people with anything that would keep money out of they’re pockets.

I also asked a question about the rear air only blowing cold air, and I was told that maybe the main control unit has gone bad. Anyone know what this is and where it’s located?

(I’m pretty good when it comes to being mechanically inclined, I just don’t have as much experience with as many parts and peices as professional mechanics)

Looking for the blower motor resistor. Behind the glove box? in the engine compartment? Thanks.
